If you want a fun slushie version of the viral TikTok cocktail, try the Jalapeño Sauvignon Blanc Slushie. This was made in a Ninja SLUSHi machine versus a blender.
1 Ninja SLUSHi machine (or similar slushie machine)
Ingredients
Jalapeño Simple Syrup
1cupwater
1cupcane sugar
1jalapeño, sliced(about ½ cup sliced peppers)
Slushie
1bottleSauvignon Blanc (one 750 milliliter bottle)(we prefer the style from New Zealand)
¼cupJalapeño Simple Syrup
jalapeño slices, for garnish
water or club soda (as needed)see notes
Instructions
For the Jalapeño Simple Syrup
Simmer: Over medium heat in a small saucepan, add the water, sugar, and slices of jalapeño. Bring the water to a simmer and simmer on low for 10 minutes. The sugar will dissolve, and the flavors of the peppers will incorporate.
After 10 minutes, remove the simple syrup from the heat, give it a good stir, and set aside to continue infusing (but off the direct heat) for another 10 minutes. Like tea, the pepper flavor will incorporate. Then strain into a glass jar to remove the solids. Allow to cool for best results. We do this the day before.
For the Slushie
Combine: Add the bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and 1/4 cup of the simple syrup to a large pitcher and stir to combine. Pour the mixture into the slushie machine.
Slush: Turn on the machine, then select the "SPIKED SLUSH" button to start the process. The machine will run and be set to the proper temperature. After 20 – 25 minutes, the mixture will freeze and become a slushie.
Serve: Once it has reached the proper temperature, you can dispense the Jalapeño Sauvignon Blanc Slushie into your favorite glass and garnish with a couple jalapeño slices.
Notes
Make Ahead: We strongly recommend you make the simple syrup the day prior. You want time so it can cool and allow the slushie to cool faster in the machine.Topping Off: If you want to top off the jalapeño sauvignon blanc slushie, pre-mix the ratio in a large pitcher and place it in the refrigerator. When the chamber is half empty, pour in the pre-cooled mix. It will speed up the freezing process. Cleaning: Be sure to clean the machine after you are done to prevent caking. Simply wash the chamber, the spiral, and the base unit with hot water and mild soap. Dry before using. Wipe down the cooling cylinder with a damp towel.Troubleshooting: If the Slushie does not freeze, it means the alcohol level is too high or the sugar level is too low. Start by adding a couple of tablespoons of water or club soda to dilute the alcohol. If that doesn't start to slush, then add simple syrup in one tablespoon increments until it does.
