This Pumpkin Spice Latte Slushie transforms the flavors of the PSL coffeehouse favorite into a refreshing and festive slushie you can make at home. Grab these simple ingredients and make your house smile.
1 1/2cupspumpkin spice creamer(we used an almond milk base, but you can use any dairy or non-dairy alternative)
1cupcold brew concentrate(see notes if you can't find concentrated cold brew)
1cupwhole milk or milk alternative
2teaspoonsvanilla syrup, like Torani syrup(or you can use simple syrup)
Optional Pumpkin Spice Slushie Toppings
whipped cream
pumpkin pie spice seasoning(just a pinch)
Instructions
Prep: Combine the pumpkin spice creamer, cold brew concentrate (or espresso), milk, and syrup in a large pitcher and stir together.
Slush: Pour the mixture into the slushie machine and close the latch. Press the power button, then select the “FRAPPÉ” button, or whatever your manufacturer suggests for coffee-based slushie drinks, to start the process. The machine will run and set itself to the proper temperature.
Wait: Allow the slushie machine to run for 15-20 minutes, and the mixture will get to the optimal texture for a slushie. Pour the slushie into a cup and then top with whipped cream and a pinch of pumpkin pie spice seasoning.
Notes
Portions: This should serve 2-3 portions, depending on the size container you use.Ingredients Notes:
Milk Options: We have tested and used the same portions of almond milk and almond milk creamer with the same results. If using milk, we prefer the higher fat content from whole milk but you can substitute with lower fat milks if you want.
Coffee: We use cold brew concentrate located in the refrigerated area with coffee in your grocery store. If you can't find cold brew concentrate, the next best option is a couple shots of espresso and water (to equal 1 cup). If all you have is coffee, it won't be as strong, but it will work in a pinch. It's just important to use the same ratio of coffee to milk so it will slush.
Topping Off: If you want to keep topping off the pumpkin spice slushie, then premix the same ratio in a large pitcher and pour back into the slushie machine when it is half empty. Allow 10 additional minutes for it to slush.Cleaning Your Slushie Machine: When done, empty the remaining slushie from the machine. Add warm water to the fill line. Press the rinse button and let it run for 10 seconds. Drain the water and discard it. Repeat with more warm water if it's still dirty. You shouldn't need more than 2 rinses. Dry the pieces and wipe down the cooling cylinder.
