Nothing says summer cocktail recipe like a Rosé Wine Slushie. In this rosé wine slushie recipe, we’re using a Ninja Slushi machine instead of a blender. I’m obsessed with this machine and believe it’s worth every penny spent for a perfect slushie texture. This refreshing summer slushie is quick to make and only has 3 simple ingredients!

Slushie machines are fairly new to the home market. Before the invention of these super quick-to-make, smaller-scale, slushy machines, if you wanted a cool and refreshing slushie, you had to make them in the blender, requiring lots of ice, which, let’s be honest, will really water down your beverage. Not anymore! With these new machines, there’s no ice is needed. And in fact, if you did add ice, it wouldn’t work.
It’s just the juice, baby!
So if you’re looking for recipes for your slushie machine (whether you have a Ninja Slushi or other brand), this rosé wine slushie recipe is one of our favorites.

Rosé Wine Slushie Ingredients
- Rosé Wine – For a Rosé wine slushie, we recommend starting with a dry rosé wine and then adding sweetness with juice to balance the flavor.
- Cherry Juice – We like to add sweetness to the wine using juice, specifically cherry juice. You can also use strawberry juice or a blend of different berry juices. I like to stick with red berry fruit to enhance the flavors of the rosé wine since most rosés will have lots of berry flavors.
- Lime Juice – This brightens things up and adds some acidity. You can also use lemon juice in a pinch.
How To Make Rosé Slushie
Alcohol based slushies take longer to become “slushified” than N/A sugar-based juices. Plan up to 30 minutes for the first batch to freeze properly.
- Prepare your slushy mix in a large pitcher. Pour the mix into the slushie machine. Press the power button and then select the “SPIKED SLUSH” or whatever your manufacturer suggests for alcoholic slush drinks.
- Allow the slushy machine to run for 20 minutes, and you will see the liquid turn to a slushy texture. After 20 – 25 minutes, it should be ready to pour.
Top off as you need more. Read our FAQ section for more details.
Troubleshooting: If your wine slushy is not freezing, there are likely two reasons. It either needs more sugar or it needs something to dilute the alcohol. You should not have any more than 15% ABV in your machine, and you need at least 4% of the total volume of sugar. Add 1/4 cup of juice, in small portions, until it starts to slush.
Most wines will be roughly 11%-14% ABV (alcohol by volume), so if it’s not getting to the slush texture you want, add more juice or 1/4 cup of water at a time.
Important Tip
Keep it cold! For any of our slushie recipes, we always like to use a pitcher and pre-mix the ratios before making the slushie, and keep them in the fridge. It speeds up the slush process if your ingredients are cold to start with. Then you can start a new one or top off the machine.

Listen, spell it how you want. There are no rules. You can use either terminology when it comes to making a slushy. The more informal version of slushy can be spelled slushie. Either way, this rosé wine slushie tastes awesome.
Yes, you can top off your slushie in a slushie machine while it is in use. We recommend that when the first mix is roughly half empty, you add your pre-mixed liquid into the machine. It should only take 10 additional minutes for it to get back to the right texture, versus waiting for it to be empty and starting from scratch.
